Carole Cullen emphasizes a Corporate Culture that promotes Compliance Programs covering: HIPAA, Billing, OSHA, HR, Accreditation, Training and Documentation. Ms. Cullen surveys DME and Pharmacy organizations for accreditation, performing this service for HQAA, one of the select organizations given deemed status by Medicare. In addition to being a surveyor, Ms. Cullen evaluates and helps other healthcare organizations develop compliance programs and prepare for and maintain accreditation.

 

Carole Cullen

Carole Cullen is an RRT with over thirty years of experience in healthcare consulting and management. 

  • Ms. Cullen has accreditation experience with HQAA, TJC/JCAHO, and CHAP.
  • Ten years managing a Respiratory Therapy department with 88 employees in one of Chicago’s largest hospitals.  As the Associate Director of this department, Ms. Cullen created and implemented the Quality Improvement program.  In addition to the QI program, Ms. Cullen managed the HR, Operations and Purchasing for this department.   She also served as an administrator on-call reporting items of public interest to the Press.
  • Three years as the Chief Operations Manager for a multi-location, 130 employee Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Practice. 
  • Two years as the Director of Operations for a multi-location, Audiology and Balance center practice.
  • Fifteen years owner of a regional durable medical equipment (DME) company with five locations in two states and 70 employees located in the Midwest.   Ms. Cullen’s organization received accreditation three times with commendation while she owned the company.  The business provided all aspects of respiratory therapy including mechanical ventilation. The business provided all aspects of complex mobility rehab.  The business had several retail stores and provided a full range of mastectomy products. 

Ms. Cullen served as the President of the Illinois Association of Medical Equipment Suppliers.  She also served for five years as Education Chairperson and on the Executive Board of the National Association of Medical Equipment Suppliers (now AAHomecare). 
A graduate of Northwestern University, Ms. Cullen brings a wealth of knowledge as a healthcare consultant.  She focuses on Durable Medical Equipment with an emphasis on:  Multi-location, Operations, Compliance Programs, HR, Information Technology, Infection Control, Billing and Accreditation.   She has a proven track record in streamlining operations, reducing expense and establishing accountability.
